You're the Expert is a live show, podcast, and public radio program on Boston's WBUR 90.9 FM where three comedians try to guess what a leading researcher studies all day. Hosted and created by Chris Duffy, the show has featured Nobel Laureates, MacArthur geniuses, and even an astronaut alongside the funniest comedians in the country.

Created and hosted by Chris Duffy and produced by Pretty Good Friends, each episode features an expert in a specialized field. Through games, sketches, and hilariously misguided guesses, three comedians try to figure out what our expert studies all day. Over the course of the show, we hear about the latest findings and why their field is important.

You're the Expert brings academic research out of the Ivory Tower and into your iPhone. Too often, only a narrow community is made aware of important research and discoveries. At the same time, there's a huge audience for comedy, but the subject matter can be frivolous. You're the Expert bridges these worlds in a show that's laugh-out-loud funny but also packed full of meaningful information.

You're the Expert is a live show. Recommended by PBS NOVA, the Boston Globe, Washington Post, and TimeOut New York, we hold monthly live tapings in Cambridge, MA and New York City and tour across the country. The Onion A.V. Club wrote that in You're the Expert, "education and enlightenment are the grand prizes lying behind the velvet curtain, and anyone listening to the episode can win."
